Complex content requires complex workarounds. All you really have to do is have the asset in the asset folder in the general website asset bucket where all the pictures and little widgets live. The blog pages call forth these assets in the layout, but you can also call them forth as download links. In this way, a PDF or sound file, or cad drawing or spreadsheet might also be called forth by the humans who may slowly do something with it the robots cannot quickly care about.
Here are the steps
- upload your thing to the assets folder
- find the asset and click the three lil dots and copy the link to it
- paste that link in the rtf link formatter deal and make it open in a new tab
- you win
